New Provider Joins Medical Associates Acute Care

Medical Associates Clinic is pleased to announce that Michelle Shafer, DO, will be joining our Acute Care Department and will begin seeing patients on July 1st, 2024.

Dr. Shafer received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Kansas City University in Kansas City, MO, and Bachelor of Science in Biology from Clarke University in Dubuque, IA. She also completed her residency in Family Medicine at UnityPoint Health - Trinity Bettendorf in Bettendorf, IA.

Dr. Shafer brings a wealth of experience and expertise in comprehensive medical care. She is a Dubuque native who most recently practiced at a local medical group in Dubuque, IA, providing high-quality patient care in the Urgent Care Department.

Board-certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians, Dr. Shafer demonstrates the highest standards of education, training, and knowledge in the field of Family Medicine.

As a member of the Medical Associates Acute Care Department, Dr. Shafer provides a complete range of medical care for all ages and offers urgent care treatment for non-life-threatening emergencies and walk-in medical services. Our Acute Care Department has been providing patient care for over 40 years, treating minor illnesses and injuries for Dubuque and the surrounding communities.
