"Very disappointed when i first arrived at accute care. I got in right away. When asked what my issue was i told her i think i have a boil or abscess. She immediately said i need an ultrasound. Yours were full so i had to get sent to mercy for one. Another thing i will be charged for. After the ultrasound i had to wait 90 minutes for the reading. I was now told it was a mass and needed an MRI and they were going to schedule it with more blood work. I was then told to go to surgery and have them look at it. They got me in right away. They were great. In a matter of minutes i told him what i thought it was. He took a look and said i was right. 15 minutes later it was drained and i was on my way. Surgery was great but now due the mis diagnosis from accute care i will have several expences that were not needed. I would think with such missed diagnosis that took 2 hours to get, and the surgery looking at it and knew exactly what it was in two minutes. [REDACTED] "

As his POA, I requested to do a Tele-conference or even just over the phone as my 80 yr old father is very weak and is getting harder and harder to take to appts. He's been having many loose stools that he can't control. I'm not understanding why we couldn't just consult over the telephone. It's not his first Colonoscopy. He lives in a nursing home that will be doing the prep. His POA is a nurse. There truly was no reason he needed to be seen at the clinic. Driving an hour with a weak 80 yr old man that has several loose stools was not ideal. No one even took his Vitals or even touched him. The doctor and nurse were excellent but this could have been done over the telephone. Thank goodness the weather was good."
