"In the future, when I visit the acute care department within two hours of closing time I will request a paper prescription if that is possible, as well as them sending it digital. I did have an issue with my prescription being sent to the pharmacy. This has happened at least 3 other times from the acute care department. Most often it was because the provider didn't hit the send button. I was very frustrated that I was not able to fill my prescription until the next day. The only number I can think of to call is the acute care number and no one will answer if it is past closing time. The pharmacist happened to give me the number of the on call nurse. She looked up my chart and said the prescription was never ordered."
