"Great care at acute care"

"Dr Shafer took a relaxed and thorough exam and listened to me w/symptoms. She also explained I had probably had a virus that went bacterial. She examined to me in a way I understood her diagnosis. I started an antibiotic yesterday and tonight feel so much better. I learned a lot. Will be happy to see Dr Shafer anytime. She has made a great addition to Acute Care."

"Dr's diagnosis of the abrasion was such that she felt it needed specialized care not available at acute care. Was sent to Mercy ER for treatment. Hate having to go to ER. ER Dr. was a bit surprised that the treatment was not done at acute care. Cleaned wound, applied medicated pad, wrapped etc. Seemed simple to me."

"Dr. Shafer was phenomenal. She took the time to explain what was going on. She didn't even make it seem like she busy, but I know she was. Any patient under Dr. Shafer's care should consider themselves at a great advantage. Wish she could be my PCP! Nurses were great too as well as front desk staff."

"We did not have appointment, we started in acute care where they quickly transfered us to ER who were very efficient in diagnosing my condition where i was admitted fir a few days for treatment. I was very satisfied with how everyone helped me."

"I was traveling, I was on vacation at the time that I stopped in at the clinic and I became ill quite quickly so I went into this clinic and everyone was, not only did they help me real fast, but they were all very competent. They called in, what they determined was my prescription to the pharmacy that I asked them to and now that it's more than a week past when I went in there, the cure was really, really good. It did get rid of the symptoms of the problem that I was having and for that I'm very grateful. Thank you."

"The provider was great. My 16 year old grandson had flu/covid symptoms. My grandson threw up six times. Dr Schafer was kind and understanding. There was only one barf bag in the room - so he threw up in the sink and she got 2 more bags. She left to check the strep results and he vomited again - no more bags- on the floor. I went out in the hallway and asked for help. They told me he couldn't go to a bathroom but they'd get us more bags. They brought one. I asked if they could clean up the vomit on the floor or move us to another"

"I was sent to Er And had to wait almost 2 hrs for a cat scan I could of had at Your other facility than take up a spot in ER I was told they could not get authorization soon enough which I have never heard of it was Thursday 12 :30 plenty of time I was very disappointed. I have had a fall 5 years ago playing pickleball and went to your acute care was sent straight for the scan no problem this time I was not happy ."

She was able to pull all information concerning him from all the right places, and even supplied me with a copy of his medical card. I was so relieved! The nurse and Dr were perfect with my 5 year old! Superb treatment!"

"I had a possibility of a broken foot or broken toe. It was very painful to walk on so I was a little surprised that I was told to walk down to the X-ray lab and then walk back to acute care instead of a wheelchair ride. So I limped back and forth. Physician was very nice and helpful otherwise."
