"She was very knowledgeable. She showed me the lab results and explained them to me. I was very happy with her and my treatment although I had to wait some time for the lab to send my results and then a nurse had to call the lab to speed up the process. I was called in within 5-10 minutes after the phone call so the lab must have been out to lunch!"

"I went to acute care for a UTI. I waited approx 25 minutes to get in and was told to head to lab for a urine specimen. After sitting there for 30 minutes, and noticing that people who arrived after me, were getting called in, I went to the check in desk in lab and they said I had to check in before they could call me back. The lady at the check in area of lab was very nice and apologized, and got me in right away (after I had already been sitting there for 30 minutes). After I gave a urine specimen, they told me to return to acute care and the doctor would meet with me. I returned and sat in the waiting area until I heard a girl mention to the receptionist, that she was returning from lab. I then told the receptionist that I was back from lab. If a patient has to check in and out, every time, then they should be told that. I know I have gone other times, and did not have to check in at lab and my husband said he didn't have to check in at a different department. Please let the staff know that instead of say go down to lab, remind them that they have to check in beforehand"

"It's unfortunate that in acute care they can't refer you to a neurologist but I appreciate being referred to my family care practitioner in order to then be referred to a neurologist."

Also, the shooting pain is in my right leg, they took x-rays of my lower back, but not my hip. There was a line out the door and being close to the beginning of the year everyone had to have their ID card scanned and forms completed. OR the receptionist should have some latitude to skip forms when the line is more than 5 people deep."

I went out to ask her if they forgot about me because 40 minutes is a long time to wait when having a fever and body aches. She was very snippy with me about that. Then, when she called back with my results she was very short and didn't even give me the chance to ask questions before hanging up."
