Anticoagulation (Coumadin) Clinic

We provide this convenient service for patients who take blood-thinning medications.

Medications such as Warfarin (Coumadin) require regular blood tests to ensure they are working properly and that blood is clotting within an acceptable timeframe.

The nurses in our Anticoagulation Clinic work in conjunction with your physician to help you manage these medications. In accordance with our doctor’s protocols, the nurses educate patients about anticoagulation treatment, determine a schedule of follow-up visits, offer the option of a fingerstick for blood sample collection, and provide immediate results and instructions to the patient. Results are communicated to your doctor for the ongoing management of your care.
