A contact lens is a medical device and can be worn to correct vision, as well as for cosmetic or therapeutic reasons. In the United States, all contact lenses, even purely cosmetic ones, require a prescription.

If you are interested in contact lenses, a complete eye examination is needed to check your eye health and determine your needs. Our experts will work with you to prescribe the best contact lens for you. They will also teach you how to put in and take out your contact lenses, as well as how to care for them.

Contact lens prescriptions generally expire on a yearly basis, unless otherwise determined by your eye doctor. It’s important to see your eye doctor regularly for a complete eye exam to check your need for updated prescriptions, as well as to assess the overall health of your eyes.
